SwisSQL Data Migration Tool 2.5 Released !
We uploaded the latest version of SwisSQL Data Migration Tool in SwisSQL website yesterday. This is 2.5 version of the product. We have made good amount of enhancements / bug fixes over the previous release. Some of the important changes done in the product include the following : # JDBC driver for Oracle (ojdbc14.jar) is bundled with the tool. This will be used by default by the tool to connect to Oracle. # Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 is supported as a source database. # GUI enhancements improving usability of the tool. # The primary key, unique key, and foreign key constraints will be added to the target table after migrating the data resulting in an improved migration speed. # Keyword and special characters handling for column names in Sybase to Oracle migration. # Notable performance improvements have been done in the following migration setups : * DB2 to MySQL * Sybase to MySQL # Changes in trial version limitations * The trial version of the tool can now migrate upto 5000 rows of data per table. * The trial version will not migrate the foreign keys of the tables. * The trial version will not migrate the database views. # Bug fixes over 2.1 version - posted by Saravanan Jayachandran @ 9:53 PM Permanent Link
